Saint Jeanne Jugan had a special reverence for St. Joseph. Just as he was the provider and protector of the holy family, so she looked to him to provide for and protect the Little Sisters. To this day, we continue to honor him in our home by having a special Mass in our chapel. Each year our Bishop and priests from the area join together on March 19th, St. Joseph’s feast day, to concelebrate Mass. It’s a beautiful sight to see so many priests together in the chapel.
After Mass, they all come to the dining room to serve our Residents dinner and visit with them. Everyone really enjoys this and looks forward to it each year. After serving, the Bishop, priests, and volunteers from the Association Jeanne Jugan gather together with the Little Sisters for a lovely meal themselves.
We are grateful for everyone’s help and participation in this important tradition.
Saint Joseph, Pray for Us!
