Vietnamese New Year

  • March 8, 2018

Family and cultural traditions are important, and Resident Kim and her family couldn’t agree more. This year, like every year, she spent the holiday Tĕt, or the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren.

The kids came to visit grandma in traditional Vietnamese dresses and were thrilled to receive their red envelopes containing “lucky money” – a gift signifying good fortune in the upcoming year.

We were happy to be able to share this special day with them.
