There is a new face here at the Jeanne Jugan Center. June 1 we welcomed our new Mother Superior, Mother Margaret Patricia.
Resident Catherine welcomes Mother to Kansas City
She comes to us from the San Pedro, CA Home, and although our pond out back can’t compare to the Pacific Ocean, Mother Margaret says the grounds here are lovely and she is happy to be here.
A native of Ireland, Mother has been a Little Sister for many, many years. Her favorite thing about being a Sister is taking care of the Residents and most importantly, making them happy. She’s looking forward to getting to know all of the Residents, Little Sisters, volunteers, and employees here in Kansas City. Although each Home is a little different, she says one thing is the same at each Little Sisters of the Poor Home throughout the world – the spirit of love and hospitality that has been passed down from our Foundress, Saint Jeanne Jugan.
