Wearin’ Of the Green

  • March 27, 2016

“O Paddy dear, and did you hear the news that going round?
The shamrock is forbid by law to grow on Irish ground;
St. Patrick’s Day no more we’ll keep, his colours can’t be seen,
For there’s a bloody law against the wearing of the green.”

The Residents of the Jeanne Jugan Center took their Irish pride to heart as they enjoyed Irish ballads played by the band, “The Kenny Royale Orchestra,” danced a jig or two, and enjoyed the St. Patrick’s Day party in their home.

Green was the color of the day as many wore green top hats, others wore green head-to-toe and those who forgot their “green” got pinched!
