Red Hatters
Nothing’s better than a nice lunch out with friends. This is something many of us take for granted, and why our Red Hatters group has dine-outs and dine-ins each month. For the dine-outs, the Residents vote and choose a restaurant to visit. For the dine-ins, food is brought in and enjoyed here.
For those of you who haven’t heard of the Red Hat Society, according to its website, it is “an international women’s social society targeted to women approaching 50 and beyond.” Our definition is a fun group that never misses an opportunity to wear a stunning red hat, and to share a meal with good friends. When new Residents come to the Jeanne Jugan Center, they are invited and welcome to join our group (at no cost to them). The group fundraises throughout the year and also welcomes donations to pay for the lunches.
