Month of Remembrance
November is the month of Thanksgiving, and also the feast days of All Saints and All Souls. We think these holidays go well together! Throughout the month we took opportunities to give thanks for our Residents, both past and present, and to pray for them.
We especially remembered those that have passed away in the last year. Outside our chapel we had a display table with their pictures, so we were reminded of them every time we went to Mass. It was nice to share memories and to give thanks for their lives.
As we come to the end of November and go forward into the Advent and Christmas season, we take these memories with us and pray,
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
