Lunar New Year
The Lunar New Year, a holiday celebrated in many east and southeast Asian countries, started February 1st. In honor of that, today our Residents enjoyed a delicious Chinese feast. Sister Agnes, who is originally from Hong Kong, embraced the holiday’s theme of togetherness by cooking everyone some of her family favorites like noodles with vegetables, egg drop soup, and stir-fried chicken and vegetables. The kitchen staff rounded out the meal by making fried rice, crab Rangoon, and egg rolls. And of course, there were fortune cookies for desert!
Our Residents thoroughly enjoyed the food, and the chance to learn about and celebrate other cultures.
