Bubbles, Bubbles Everywhere!
Walking down the mall area of our Home this afternoon, an old but familiar voice floated out of the dining room. Was that … Lawrence Welk? And were those bubbles floating out of the doorway? Upon closer inspection, it surely was! In fact, it was a full-blown party with the Lawrence Welk show on TV, and hundreds of bubbles floating in the air along with the wonderful melodies of times gone by. And with root beer floats thrown in for good measure, it couldn’t have been a better time.
Ora, a CNA at our Home, told Sr. Grace about a bubble machine she had. She thought the Residents would enjoy it, and offered to bring it in. They certainly did enjoy it! The bubbles really added to the atmosphere, and are something we don’t see every day as adults. Everyone had such a good time reminiscing about watching the Lawrence Welk show, and singing along with the songs.
