Breakfast with Santa
We were all very happy to welcome back an old friend this Christmas season. Ole Saint Nick, better known the other days of the year as Mark, visited our home this year for another “Breakfast with Santa.”
This much-loved yearly tradition started in 2017 when Mark volunteered to come and play Santa for our Residents. He and they both enjoyed it so much that he came back every year. Until last year, that is, when we couldn’t have him here because of the pandemic restrictions.
So this year, with everyone vaccinated and boosted, it was like Christmases past again. Everyone enjoyed a delicious breakfast, and got to visit and pose for pictures with Santa. Each Resident also got a print of their picture to remember the occasion. The only difference is this time Santa was wearing a mask!
It was a lovely morning, and we are grateful to Mark for bringing joy and light-heartedness to our Residents’ Christmas celebration. There’s nothing like Santa Clause to make people feel like kids again!
