Visitation Volunteers
Last month we were “visited” by a great group of teachers and staff (about 40 in all!) from Visitation Parish School. And they arrived bearing gifts – boxes and boxes of toiletries that the school had collected for us.
Just as precious as these much-needed items, was the gift of time that all of these wonderful people gave.
The group spent the morning helping out various departments, doing just about every job imaginable: they stocked the pantry, cleaned the vans and bus, made posters for our raffle, did yardwork (in the snow!), and visited and played games with our Residents.
Their enthusiasm and cheerful smiles were like rays of sunshine. We were grateful for all the extra help, and our Residents thoroughly enjoyed the interactions with them. They were a joy!
