Sunny Days
After a gloomy chain of cloudy and rainy days, everyone was getting restless to feel the sunshine on their faces again. Even though our activities department does a great job of keeping our Residents engaged, the precautions for COVID-19 mean our Residents still spend a good deal of time in their rooms – especially when the weather is bad.
So when a sunny day recently came around, we made the most of it. Staff members took Residents out to our beautiful back yard where they went for walks by the pond, fed the fish and ducks, and smelled the flowers. Others chatted on the porch with their socially distanced friends, and most importantly, everyone got some fresh air and sun along with some much-needed Vitamin D. No doubt it is the “happy vitamin,” because after that everybody had a happy and positive spirit. Thank God for those sunny days!
