National Skilled Nursing Care Week
Last week we celebrated National Skilled Nursing Care Week*. This is something that we look forward to every year, and even though it was a little different this year because of no group activities, everyone still had a great time. There was a different theme every day: Crazy Hair day, Sock Hop day (complete with root beer floats delivered to everyone’s rooms), Western day, and days celebrating our favorite football and baseball teams.
Employees and Residents had fun dressing up each day. We are grateful for our wonderful Activities staff, who work hard to keep everyone’s spirits up and find creative ways for us to stay connected and have fun.
*Established by the American Health Care Association (AHCA) in 1967, National Skilled Nursing Care Week® (NSNCW) recognizes the essential role of skilled nursing care centers in caring for America’s frail, elderly, and disabled. For more information, visit the AHCA website here.
