Viva el Papa

  • March 26, 2013

Maria and Sonia Delgado, members of the Jeanne Jugan Center’s skilled nursing staff, jumped with joy when they heard the announcement that Jorge Cardinal Bergoglio – a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina would reign as the new Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. Emigrating from the same area of the world, their joy goes much deeper than having a Latin American Pope at the helm. They believe that the vote for Pope Francis came from God himself. Although Maria and Sonia are proud to have a Pope from Argentina, they view him as a Pope for all people and believe that his familiarity with America will greatly benefit the Roman Catholic religious order in the United States.
