A Job Well Done

  • December 1, 2017

We recently said goodbye to two dedicated employees who, after serving the elderly for many years, have moved on to enjoy their retirement.

Don Taylor was a fixture on the skilled nursing unit for 23 years, and worked hard in the housekeeping department to keep things looking nice for the Residents. Always quick with a smile and a kind word, the Residents on the third floor were very fond of him.

Sharon Brown, a nurse and the home’s MDS coordinator, was an important part of the medical team for 10 years, helping to ensure that each Resident received the specialized care they needed.

We are grateful for Don and Sharon’s service and support of our mission of hospitality to the elderly poor. They will be missed, but hopefully not for too long. Both have promised to keep in touch, and Don said he plans to come back and visit “his Residents” soon. We wish them both well in their retirement!

HR Director Dena Waddell presents Sharon with a plaque, thanking her for her service.
