The Catholic teaching on respecting life encompasses many ages and life stages. It’s about offering help to those who need it, while acknowledging the value of every person, whether they are nearing the end of their time here on earth, or just starting out.
This week, our residents, who are on one end of the spectrum, did something to help those on the complete opposite end.
They made blankets to give to needy mothers with small babies.
The soft fleece blankets will bring the babies comfort well into toddlerhood, and the gesture of reaching out can bring hope to a young mother who may feel very alone.
We are proud to have residents with such caring hearts.
Even after a lifetime of caring for others, they are ready to help someone else whenever a need arises. What a blessing they are!
